111 Clinician (Telephone Advice Nurse/Paramedic)
Salary: £30,264 - £43,699 FTE (375 Hours Per Week) depending upon shifts worked + Bank Holiday enhancement
Hours of Work: Shift work covering a 24 hour period, part time considered
Job Purpose: The successful applicant will be part of a clinical team consisting of experienced Nurses and Paramedics based at Ipswich Care Co-ordination Centre. The role will predominantly consist of undertaking telephone triage, being responsible for the clinical assessment and subsequent care of patients accessing the 111 service. The post holder will utilise their professional clinical judgement, supported by the NHS Pathways triage software. This exciting and rewarding role requires a broad range of skills and knowledge and the ability to learn and develop specialist skills as a Hear and Treat clinician to assess and deliver care to patients across all age groups. In addition to providing patient advice, information and implementing care packages for a range of individuals in a range of emotional states, the post holder will also provide clinical advice and support to non-clinical colleagues as well as liaising with other agencies and healthcare providers as necessary to provide the most appropriate care or advice for the patient.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
