A new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse with Oncology/Haematology experience to join the Acute Oncology/CUP team as a band 6 specialist nurse. This post will work alongside the current team to continue to develop the Acute Oncology and CUP service across the Trust with future plans to offer a 7 day service.

The post holder will be based in the Oncology/ Haematology department and will be expected to review patients in the department who have contacted the chemotherapy triage line. They will work closely with existing medical and nursing teams providing support and advice in the management of complications related to cancer and its treatments.

The role requires excellent communication skills and a desire to improve the pathway and experience for cancer patients and their families within York Hospital.
