Advanced Nurse Practitioner - GP Out of Hours Service - Clacton-on-Sea, AND Colchester, Essex - Salary £32.50 - £42.50 per hour

Hours: Full Time / Part Time / Bank

My client are recruiting for Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) and Nurse Practitioners (NP) with a prescribing qualification to join their team working for the Out Of Hours service in North East Essex. My client can provide flexible shifts to fit with your needs and lifestyle, whether it is due to childcare or if you are seeking an additional opportunity to work alongside your current role!

The North East Essex GP out-of-hours service provides advice, information and treatment for NHS patients who become unwell during the out-of-hours period when their own GP surgery is closed.

They have 2 sites available, one based in Colchester and one based in Clacton so there is flexibility for where you are based from. Both bases have excellent, hardworking teams that are warm, friendly and welcoming and would help to support you in your new role whilst you adjust to the new environment.

Their Colchester base is located within the heart of Colchester, and is within walking distance to the train station and also Colchester General Hospital.

Their Clacton base is located within the grounds of Clacton & District Hospital and is a short walk from the beach. Both locations have on site car parking.
Working in an Out of Hours environment is both challenging and rewarding; it would suit an ANP/NP who has a flexible can-do approach and patient centric mind set. My client are ideally seeking to cover the times below, however they do have other hours available so if you would like to know more, please do get in touch.

•Saturday 8 Hours AM shift - Colchester base
•Sunday 10 hours - mix Colchester/Clacton

Or

•Friday evening 4.5 hours - Clacton
•Saturday overnight 8 hours
•Sunday evening 7pm - 12am

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for delivering face-to-face and telephone services enabling patients to obtain health advice from the appropriate health care professional.
You will hold a Nurse Prescribing certificate and be competent to prescribe for patients and be responsible for providing an excellent standard of patient care and health promotion to the general public accessing urgent care services.
You will have the highest clinical standards, and you really care for the people you're treating

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will be/have:

•A qualified RN
•A current registration with the NMC
•A recognised Nurse prescriber
•Skilled in triage and minor illness
•The legal right to work in the UK

Informal visits are welcome and can be arranged by appointment.
