Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust provides high quality integrated care across community health, mental health, learning disability and social care services in the South of England.

Antelope House is our acute mental health inpatient unit in Southampton where our multidisciplinary team offer high quality recovery focused care to adults with a range of mental health needs. Antelope House has 42 inpatient beds across two acute wards and a 10 bedded psychiatric intensive care unit.

We have been working with our staff to redesign our workforce and are now launching our exciting new model. We have developed new roles including Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurse therapists, Associate Practitioners and Peer Support Workers. We now have exciting opportunities for skilled and dedicated mental health nurses to join the team at Antelope House. We are introducing the Advanced Nurse Practitioner post across our unit to provide highly specialist nurse leadership and clinical advice. You will facilitate patient recorvery through the acute care pathway, leading on discharge and supporting complex health needs. We are also introducing the Advanced Nurse Practitioner role into our PICU as we recognise the specialist nature of this work.

We will support your development as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and encourage you to develop you clinical leadership skills and the imparting of your skills to staff through teaching and mentoring.

This is a full time post (375 hours per week - 1 WTE). Consideration can be given for flexible working.
