The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.

ANP Primary Care Unit Band 7 - 375 hours
The Emergency Medicine Division of Urgent Care within the Countess of Chester Emergency Medicine Department is seeking a highly motived and experienced Band 7, Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the small friendly dynamic team in the Primary Care Unit based within the Emergency Department.
The Countess of Chester Hospital has recently taken over the management of the Unit which is undergoing exciting development within Emergency Medicine and need to expand the Advanced Nurse Practitioner service in order to deliver the primary care stream within Emergency Medicine.
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner you will be accountable for your own practice including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge or referral of patients, independent of medical intervention in a supportive environment, who attend via the Emergency Streaming process.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, motivated individual who wants to help drive advanced nursing services within this exciting environment. You will have extensive knowledge of acute and primary care nursing or working autonomously within an urgent care setting and work effectively with all clinical presentations. You will be in possession of a non-medical prescribing qualification and Masters Level Clinical Examination and Diagnostics qualifications as a minimum.
There is clinical and managerial support from the Primary Care Unit Lead GP, the Emergency Department Senior Medical Team, Advanced Nurse Practitioner Lead Nurse and the Unit Manager.

The service operates over 7 days 9am to 9pm with a view to an extension to midnight
