We are seeking an enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
Queensway Surgery is located in a commuter town close to London with a thriving international airport 15 minutes from the surgery. Southend is a university town with great schools and lots of sporting opportunities, including a number of sailing clubs, for individuals or families, and the longest pleasure pier in the world.
We are a three site Training Practice and currently have 24,000 registered patients. As well as supporting GP Registrars we also provide placements for Medical Students coming down from London. We aim to put patients first and we are looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with a similar vision. In addition we have a large, motivated and enthusiastic nursing team of 7 practice nurses and 3 health care assistants who not only support the doctors but also provide a variety of nursing specialties.
The ideal candidate is expected to possess
Independent Nurse Prescriber qualification
Experience of working autonomously whilst assessing, diagnosing and managing patients
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
An Advanced Nurse Practitioner post-graduate qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
