You will provide safe, high quality primary care services appropriate to the needs of the practice populations on behalf of Lincolnshire Community Health Services from Peterborough MIIU.
The service is actively involved in the prevention of inappropriate admissions into secondary care and supporting the A+E department in Peterborough. We undertake health assessments in the Minor Injury and Illness unit on Thorpe Road in Peterborough.
As an autonomous practitioner working within a team, you will be involved in providing face-to-face contacts at our Centres as well as home visiting and telephone consultations. You will use the SystmOne clinical system to input consultations.
The service is open for the public between 8am until 8pm daily. Flexible working patterns are essential as the service cover includes weekends and bank holidays and on occasions shifts may need to be covered at short notice.
You will have first level Adult registration with the NMC or HCPC registration along with BSc (Hons) Nurse Practitioner/Autonomous Practitioner Degree or equivalent experience. A Masters Degree or evidence of Post graduate study is desirable. You would also be required to be a Non-Medical Prescriber or have evidence of working with PGD’s. There is a need to also hold an ENB 998 or equivalent teaching qualification. Evidence of a specialist post graduate course in illness or injury or being willing to work towards this is needed.
This post requires that you have the ability to travel between locations to carry out your work and to attend training/meetings.

Important Information: All new employees will be subject to a charge if a DBS check is required for the post. The Disclosure & Barring Service application form (formerly CRB) will be provided by LCHS and the fee will be deducted from your salary over a 6 month period.
Any existing employees who have not had a DBS within 3 years or require a different level of check, will be subject to a charge if a DBS check is required.
Please note that the salary stated above is based on full time working (375 hours per week) and should be pro rata for part time working.
Continuous NHS service will qualify for yearly increments in accordance with Agenda for Change.
