Our Trust provides mental health, learning disability and children and family services across South Staffordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. We have over 350 inpatient beds and a broad range of community services such as crisis resolution and home treatment, early intervention and memory services.

Specialist mother and baby, eating disorder and medium secure forensic mental health services care for patients from across the region and we have contracts across the country for IAPT, addiction and some health services in prisons as well as hosting a network for inpatient mental health care for serving military personnel.

Allied Health Professional Assistant (AHP assistant)

Permanent Full time contract

375 hours per week – Monday to Friday, with some weekend work

Pay Scale: Band 2

We have developed an exciting role to support the occupational, therapy and speech and language therapy interventions within the Forensic in patient mental health services. If you are looking for an new challenge and would like to help develop this role further then this post is for you! If you enjoy working 1:1 or with groups and have an interest in using activities to promote change then this is the ideal role.

Successful applicants will be able to function confidently in multi-disciplinary teams and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate passion for making a positive contribution to improving the quality of life for people with mental health problems.

Additionally applicants should be willing to undertake further training to meet the needs of service users.
