An excellent opportunity has arisen to lead an anaesthetic team working in a fast-paced elective theatre department, at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly.
The hospital is situated in the picturesque Welsh valleys, surrounded by countryside with the town of Ystrad Mynach and a train station within walking distance. There is a bus service to the hospital and adequate parking on site. A short journey also takes you into the affluent shopping centre in Caerphilly and approximately 30 minutes from Cardiff.
Applicants should have good leadership skills, be assertive and passionate about the development of staff and the service we afford our patients. Experience in managing staff is essential. A post registration management course will be very desirable.
Clinical skills required include a variety of surgical procedures in specialities such as:
• General Surgery
Support may also be required at larger sites working the health board in a wider variety of specialities.
We operate using regular day shifts with no shift work, bank holidays or on calls with the requirement to work occasional weekends. We are looking for skilled people that have a commitment to team working. Our practitioners are encouraged to participate in training and development and are part of exciting courses such as ILS, simulations and CICO will be part of your induction.
