We are currently recruiting an Assistant Practitioner/Senior Assistant Practitioner (Acute Setting) to be based at the Loughborough Urgent Care Centre.

As part of the Urgent Care Centre team, the job holder will provide support to all Clinical staff contributing to the delivery of high quality care.

The post holder will carry out initial observations and assessment using locally developed and National diagnostics and screening tools. Other tasks include redressing wounds, blood glucose monitoring and venepuncture.

A commitment to a quality service, excellence in clinical practice and continuous professional development are integral to the role and the development of the service.

You will need to meet the following essential criteria:

  • NVQ Care Level III plus short course or equivalent experience to diploma level
  • Have recent experience of working within an Urgent Care setting or Emergency Department (within the last 6 months)
