Band 3 Senior Assistant Technical Officer
We are looking for a Senior Assistant Technical Officer (SATO) to support the new Trust Pharmacy Clinical Commissioning Team. The successful candidates will be expected to will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to combine the ability to work within a team with the initiative to work alone.
The roles will provide technical support to the Pharmacy Clinical Commissioning Team and will involve the capture of all commissioning information in respect to the Trust High Cost Drugs. The post holders will manage all data entry on the Trust new database and will be required to liaise with external commissioners (NHS England and Clinical Commissioning Groups) to ensure that all information provided to the Trust is captured whilst also managing the information submitted externally. The post holder will be expected to use the national commissioning tool, Blueteq, whilst also accessing other commissioning information for example Clinical Commissioning Group Tick Box approval forms.
In addition the post holder will require a working knowledge of Windows operating system, including Word, Access and Excel. Knowledge and experience of these are considered essential.
The role will also require knowledge of the homecare service provided by the Trust and the post holders will be expected to cover some aspects of the homecare SATO roles in their absence.
The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. In particular you should have proven experience of working patient service.
