Band 5 Physiotherapist, Loughborough Hospital

375 hours/week - Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and well-motivated Physiotherapist to join the Physiotherapy team delivering a highly specialised MSK therapy service within Loughborough Hospital.

This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to gain experience assessing and treating patients with various musculoskeletal conditions. Referrals are received from local GP’s, consultants and emergency departments, therefore the successful candidate will experience a varied case load from post-operative orthopaedic patients, to patients with chronic pain, and sporting injuries. The successful candidate will also have the chance to lead group rehabilitation classes in the department gym.

The successful post holder will be supported both formally and informally by their peers and senior staff with regular individual and group clinical supervision, in addition to the local appraisal process.

The team at Loughborough Hospital are committed to personal and service development. The successful candidate will be involved in regular in-service training sessions and be encouraged to participate in patient feedback initiatives and service audit and evaluation.

The post is permanent, working 375 hours per week, Monday-Friday. (The Trust is progressing towards a seven day week working pattern; consequently the post-holder must be prepared to work the weekly contracted hours over a 7 day rotation in accordance with the needs of the service.)
