Home birth team opportunity (Band 6 Midwife)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate midwife with a woman-centred philosophy to join our successful Home birth team.

You will be supported by the Home Birth Team leader, the Senior Midwifery Manager and the Consultant Midwife to provide high quality care to a group of women during their pregnancy, birth and postnatal period.

If you love being “with woman”, and being part of a like-minded team, providing continuity and evidence-based care to healthy women with straightforward pregnancies then this could be a great opportunity for you.

This will be a full time (375 hrs/week), permanent contract and the applicant is expected to work flexible hours and be part of an on-call rota. You will provide care in the community and hospital settings.

Candidate requirements:

Minimum of 18 months post registration midwifery experience, including Intrapartum care.

Sound clinical practice skills and knowledge.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Enjoys working autonomously and in a team Keen on promoting homebirth services

Car owner with a valid UK driving license
