Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust (HEFT) is one of the largest acute hospital Trusts in the country, serving a diverse population of 12 million across Birmingham East and North, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield and South Staffordshire. The Trust has a leading dermatology department and is one of two national centres for epidermolysis bullosa. It’s also a regional centre for severe asthma and renal conditions, recently celebrating 50 years of providing dialysis treatment. The Hyper Acute Stroke Unit sees 43% more patients admitted to a specialist stroke bed within four hours to receive the lifesaving care they need in the first 72 hours after a stroke. It’s also one of only three centres in the country that performs cytoreductive surgery for patients with peritoneal cancer.

Pain Therapy Team


Part-time permanent – 255 hours per week to encompass7 day working

An exciting opportunity has been identified within the MSK/Pain team for a Band 6 Physiotherapist.

The post may involve cross site between HEFT Physiotherapy departments.

The role includes undertaking comprehensive assessments of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi pathologies

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of pain mechanisms and presenting conditions and a minimum of 18 months experience of working within a musculoskeletal outpatients setting.

The successful candidate will also be approachable, flexible and organised and have an interest in enabling patients to reach their full potential.
