Band 6 Physiotherapist

Rehabilitation Services

Hours:375 hours. Part time and job share considered.

Salary:Band 6 - £26,302 - £35,225

Base: Rotational within South Warwickshire.

We are looking to appoint a Band 6 physiotherapist to our Neuro-rehabilitation service. This service includes rehabilitation of Acquired brain injury, Major trauma, Stroke and Older people and includes interventions at all stages of rehabilitation from acute trauma to longer term conditions.

Rotations are for one year and are within the rehabilitation service and includes working in the following areas

Leamington Hospital (Including the Central England Rehabilitation Unit) in patient service for major trauma and Acquired brain injury (three placements)

Leamington Hospital in-patients service for the Feldon Stroke and Stroke Outreach unit (two placements)

Stratford and Ellen Badger Hospitals (older people), (one placement)

Leamington and Stratford Hospitals -rehabilitation out patient service (two placements)

Warwick Hospital (current location) (one placement) Our newly set up Therapy led Transitional Unit where you will gain opportunities in working without nursing staff. This unit is based on a residential unit so along with care staff the therapists take the lead in managing the flow from the acute hospital to the community.

We are looking for a therapist with some experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting and the ability to work as part of an integrated team. Rehabilitation experience is essential.

This role will also involve clinical supervision of Band 5 rotational physiotherapists and physiotherapy students on placement.

South Warwickshire Foundation Trust has a commitment to providing a seven day service and this post will be required to make some contribution to this service.

The physiotherapy service offers staff structured personal development review (PDR), peer group supervision and clinical 1:1 supervision. We also promote continued professional development through in-service and external training.
