Band 6 Sister, Charge Nurse Barts Heart Centre St. Bartholomew’s Hospital

Critical Care Our brand new, state of the art cardiovascular centre at St Bartholomew’s Hospital is now open. .

The new service brings together our existing unique experience and research activity. Clinicians from Barts Health NHS Trust and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) have worked together to create a single specialist centre for cardiovascular care.

You will be joining us at an incredibly exciting time, as we improve services for today’s patients and future generations and create a world class cardiovascular service.

Your expertise, your experience and your vision will be our building blocks to success – come and work with us and help us develop the service together. The Barts Heart Centre has 37 cardiothoracic surgery critical care beds and a further 11 beds caring for cardiology, respiratory and haematology patients. A further expansion is planned in October 2016.

This along with the ever expanding fields of Cardiac and Cancer Care will guarantee you an exciting and rewarding career, and a state of the art workplace. We are looking for highly motivated, committed and experienced critical care nurses to join our team.

This Sister/Charge Nurse post provides the opportunity to further develop teaching, management and leadership skills in a supportive clinical setting. We offer a wide range of development opportunities:

• Band 6 leadership programme • Resuscitation training and CALS • participation in the education programme within BHC • external conferences and courses • partake in evidence based practice and innovation within critical care • Key mentor role within critical care.
