This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Nurse to join our dynamic infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Service.

Working as part of the IPC Team you will support the delivery of a safe, evidenced-based IPC work programme at Hinchingbrooke and deliver all aspects of IPC nursing as well as providing expert advice (including teaching) to staff in all aspects of IP&C. You will also be involved in developing strategic plans for Infection prevention and Control and developing Clinical Unit specific models of practice and monitoring methods.

Experience of working in Infection Prevention and Control and/or a qualification (or a willingness to undertake) is required for this role as are excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient safety and ability to work independently. From 1st June 2016 all employees commencing employment at Hinchingbrooke Healthcare NHS Trust who require a DBS Check, or existing staff transferring to roles which require a DBS or higher level DBS than currently held, will be charged for the cost of the check (currently £50 for an Enhanced Check and £31 for a Standard Check). This payment will be deducted from your first months’ salary.
