Paediatric Professional Development Nurse - Band 7

We are looking for a dynamic self-motivated Paediatric Nurse with varied post registration experience to work as a PDN in our service.

You will have extended clinical expertise and an interest in teaching and coaching. You will demonstrate critical thinking and the desire to create a learning environment in our service,

You will work as part of a team of PDNs and work with Ward Managers, and the Senior Nursing team to support ward teams in maintaining appropriate competencies required to deliver excellent health care and to develop critical thinking skills.

Exceptional communication, interpersonal and motivational skills are essential as well as an ability to challenge accepted practice. This is an exciting and autonomous role and is at the forefront in promoting excellent practice through 1:1 and team interaction.

This role is diverse and requires that you not only have significant experience in practice development but also the leadership and management skills to ensure guidelines and polices are implemented.

A key component of this role is HCSW development and supporting the Children’s Team at Whipps Cross University Hospital as well as cross site workforce development supporting the Children’s Network of Barts Health.
