Job Description

The Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust is the UK’s largest post-graduate specialist heart and lung centre. From our two sites – in Chelsea, London and Harefield, Middlesex – we strive to develop our staff both personally and professionally to ensure our patients get the first class service they deserve. Furthermore, the Royal Brompton has a purpose built Respiratory Clinical Trial Facility linked to its established Biological Research Unit. The facilities form an important part in delivering the Brompton’s key research aim of furthering clinical and translational research into respiratory disease.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of investigators and to further research in to respiratory disease. You will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary research team with an established international reputation in the field of respiratory medicine and interstitial lung disease. You will have day-to-day responsibility for the running and co-ordinating clinical trials and observational biomarker studies. This will include recruiting patients, liaising with the principal investigator and other research staff, collecting biological samples and administering investigational compounds.

You should have prior research experience and should be capable of working independently and managing your own time. You should also be familiar with good research governance. Prior experience in respiratory medicine, although desirable, is not a prerequisite for this post.
