• Are you a Children’s Nurse with extensive Emergency Department experience?
• Are you ambitious and keen to improve your leadership skills further?

We are expanding the Band 7 senior nursing team in the Emergency Department to provide clinical leadership, support, teaching and decision making from the front door throughout the department covering 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Bristol Children’s Hospital is a Tertiary Children’s Hospital for the South West of England and we are an inner city Emergency Department seeing on average 37,000 patients per year. We are also the designated Major Trauma centre for the south west peninsular seeing up to 200 patients a year.

The department is innovative with a strong research and patient safety focus. We are looking for proactive, supportive band 7 nurses with proven clinical leadership and decision making skills.

You will need to demonstrate expert knowledge surrounding emergency care and a commitment to provide high quality, safe and effective care for patients who attend the emergency department.

We take pride in our strong interdisciplinary team working ethos and have strong links with our in house Paediatric Faculty of Nurse Education which provides ongoing leadership and development opportunities for our Tertiary Children’s Hospital.
