Fixed Term Contract/Secondment - 1 Year

This is an exciting time to be working at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, one of the biggest NHS Trusts in the UK, delivering care to more than 16 million people a year through our three main hospitals: Barnet, Chase Farm and Royal Free.
We are looking for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to support the Psycho-dermatology service of the Dermatology Department. The successful candidate will join the Lead Psychologist in the service and be expected to provide expert psychological assessment and interventions (both individual and group) to skin patients, consultation and advice to colleagues and contribute to the research, teaching, service development and audit programme within the Department.

The contribution of psychology within the department is highly valued. The contact with patients is either at the point of difficulties or routine for certain pathways. Our department uses the psychology team to help resolve emotional difficulties as well as work towards improving outcomes.

The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. In particular you should have proven experience of working in acute physical health settings alongside other multi-disciplinary professionals.
