Bank Midwife (flexible and long term opportunities available)

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust

Locations covered: Shifts across Croydon

Band 6 – pay rate £1884-£2867 per hour.

‘Earlies’, ‘Lates’, ‘Days’, ‘Nights’ & ‘Weekend’ bank shift patterns available. Rates include holiday pay which is accrued for hours worked and paid separately.

  • We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 registered Midwives to work Bank shifts in Croydon Hospital maternity unit.

  • You will work within a team to promote and provide high quality maternity care and have excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • The maternity unit delivers approximately 4,500 births a year with a refurbished Labour Ward which has 11 en-suite delivery rooms including a dedicated HDU room.

  • A triage unit works closely with the labour ward ensuring appropriate admissions. We also have a busy co-located, midwifery-led Birth Centre with over 20% of women giving birth there.

  • In order to apply for a post you must have a minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role held within the last 2 years and be NMC registered.

    The Trust is now including regular bank only workers in their revalidation plans. You will be able to attend their revalidation workshops and a Trust manager will act as your confirmer.
