Open Door Care is a part of Care Plus Group. Open Door is a social business committed to ensuring that the people who are most vulnerable in society get the opportunity to access a range of health and care services and get the information, advice and services they need to improve their lives. The people who access Open Door could have one or a combination of barriers which stop them from accessing mainstream services – they could be living with addiction or substance misuse, leaving statutory care, be homeless, an ex-offender, an economic migrant, a sex worker or someone who has been banned from services as a result of using behaviour that challenge services.
We are looking for friendly, passionate and well organised individuals to join our expanding team of dedicated social care staff. You will work as part of a social care team on an as and when required basis assisting on the shop floor in befriending service users and becoming their companion as well as promoting Open door via social media and the voluntary sectors.
You do not require any particular qualifications or experience but will require an empathetic, friendly and proactive approach with a distinct interest in supporting and befriending vulnerable service users with complex needs such as substance abusers, homelessness and mental health issues. You will be required to be able to communicate effectively to ensure that the diverse needs of the client group are supported.
Full induction and ongoing training will be offered to successful candidates.
For further information and an informal discussion please contact Rob Baty on (01472) 722000.
