Base: HRI or CHH - could be asked to work on any site
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to complement our Physiotherapy Service , although there may be a requirement to work in other clinical areas or at any site within the Trust.
The successful candidate will work closely with clinical and clerical staff to support the delivery of inpatient physiotherapy services.
The post holder will undertake supervised direct patient contact alongside physiotherapists and assistant staff in a physically demanding role. This will include assisting with treatments that require multiple members of staff, issuing walking aids and assisting in stair assessments. In addition the post holder will support the inpatient service by providing clerical support essential to the running of the service. This will include; stocktaking, collating and inputting data, information processing and general office duties.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated with a commitment to develop new skills. You should also be willing to accept change as the service develops. You should also be willing to undertake a variety of delegated duties that will require you to work flexibly with multiple people across several different work areas.
Previous experience working with patients or customers and clerical/keyboard skills and computer literacy are essential for the post. Previous experience as a carer would be desirable.
We offer excellent in-service training supported by documented competencies and a robust appraisal system. With supervision in all clinical areas, personal development is a high priority for the service.
