Job Description

Partnerships in Care 1 Ltd is one of the UK’s leading providers of independent specialist secure and step-down services for people with mental illness, personality disorders, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and brain injuries.

This role includes undertaking support duties to Service Users with varying degrees of mental health illness, in line with agreed plans and direction by the clinical team. You will work in a recovery focused way collaboratively with the team and Service Users.

Our Bank Recovery Support Worker role involves:

  • Supporting service users to attend and gain new experiences within their local community

  • Supporting and assisting service users with personal care as identified in agreed plans of care

  • Acting as a key-worker for a service user, with support from the RMN

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with service users which will complement and contribute to the care programme and create a pleasant environment in which to live

  • Contributing to the daily running of the home, e.g. shopping, cleaning and involving residents to the limits of their ability in all aspects of normal daily living

  • Accompanying residents on shopping trips and outings and occasional holidays

  • Possessing the ability to diffuse/resolve stressful situations

To be successful as Bank Recovery Support Worker, you’ll need:

Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience of working with people

  • Customer service experience

  • Experience of working in a care environment, especially mental health

  • Ability to communicate on the telephone

  • Ability to accurately record basic physical observations

  • Excellent verbal and written skills


  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or equivalent in Health & Social Care an advantage

  • Willing to work towards NVQ Level 3 desirable
