We are looking for qualified nurses who will have an interest in the range of service Cambian offers in the West Country.
Cambian Alders in Gloucester is a 20-bedded specialist rehabilitation hospital offering treatment to female patients with a Personality Disorder. We will also be opening a new Hospital for men in Bristol in 2016 which will enable staff to rotate between the two services and develop opportunities for a wider level of expertise and career progression.
We are looking for RMN / RNLD nurses who have an excellent working knowledge of the Mental Health Act policies and be able to demonstrate the latest understanding of nursing practices. You should also be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and organisational skills.
We are currently seeking motivated and passionate individuals to join a brand new Nursing team. Working with our patients, you will be encouraged to contribute to, and influence the development of active care. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you must be able to show initiative, demonstrating clear decision making and organisational skills. Successful candidates will be responsible for the coordination, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care for adult patients presenting Learning Disabilities and additional diagnosis in accordance with National Minimum Standards and company procedures.
In addition, you will provide a homely and safe environment that meets the patients' needs, guidance and support in assisting the promotion of self-help, personal life skills and emotional awareness and act as a positive role model within the team. You must be able to demonstrate good clinical practice, carrying out observations, investigations and treatments as required.
Candidates should possess the relevant nursing qualification (RNLD/RMN or equivalent) and have an active pin number. Individuals should have an excellent working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and be able to demonstrate the latest understanding of nursing practices. You should also be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and organisational skills. Full induction training is given. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and, just like our service users, you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support.
