Job Description

We have established ourselves as providers of a full care pathway from medium secure services all the way through to supported living in the community.

Cygnet Hospital Beckton is a 59 bed hospital offering specialist complex care for people with enduring mental health needs. Located just a few minutes' walk from Beckton Station on the Docklands Light Railway which has a number of connections with the District and East London underground lines, together with the North London British Rail line. The hospital is divided into four wards, a female PICU, female low secure, New Dawn service for BPD and Female Learning Disability locked ward. We are clinical outcome focused and use a number of tools to evidence our excellent work with service users including the Recovery Star, HoNoS and MoHo with our Hansa, New Dawn and Bewick wards achieving STAR ward status.

We are currently recruiting motivated and enthusiastic bank staff nurses (RMN and/or RNLD qualified). This is a flexible role, covering shifts as and required.

You will have the opportunity to work within a Multi-Disciplinary Team and gain experience in a wide range of psychiatric disorders. We offer mentorship, supervision and mandatory training together with training in the use of our outcome measures.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a keen interest in working with individuals with mental health problems and complex needs. They will also need to demonstrate a good knowledge base in working with the recovery approach. Our patients are our partners in care delivery and are at the centre of our care delivery approach.

We also pay you for your training, you will receive gross payments of £250 for completing your PMVA training and a further £250 for your online training once you have completed 5 shifts.
