Job Description

We are seeking a committed and experienced Histopathology Biomedical Scientist to join our client's busy Pathology team at their hospital site based in Oxford, Oxfordshire, the city of dreaming spires and one of England's heritage cities, with good bus links to the city centre.
This is a full-time post but our client is open to hearing from candidates seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity; however, fixed hours cannot be assured.

Our client is a major provider of independent healthcare; working with many of the South East's most experienced Consultants and other healthcare specialists this centre of excellence delivers a high standard of Pathology care focusing on combining the warmth of individual patient care with internationally acclaimed Medical and Surgical expertise delivered by the highest calibre consultants and staff.

The successful candidate will deliver pathology services as required, troubleshoot equipment, carry out quality control procedures and assist in the validation and assessment of new equipment.

 Person Requirements:
Degree-qualified Biomedical Scientist with full HCPC registration.

At least three years' post-registration Histopathology laboratory experience.
A relevant post-graduate qualification would be an advantage.
Excellent laboratory bench skills.
Intermediate or advanced computer literacy.
