The post-holder will take a lead in developing blood-borne virus services for Kingston Wellbeing Service.
This will involve the setting up and delivering a testing and vaccination service at Surbiton Health Centre and work collaboratively with both the statutory and non-statutory services in the Borough of Kingston ensuring drug/alcohol users have access to BBV testing and vaccination.
The post-holder will be responsible for collecting data that will be used for NDTMS and contract monitoring purposes. They will take the lead and deliver training to staff on blood borne virus topics and related harm reduction principles. They will oversee the implementation of PGDs to ensure that other suitably qualified staff are able to administer vaccines and co-ordinate phlebotomy training to allow testing and vaccination by a wider range of staff, as well as facilitate opportunistic testing and vaccination. They will work collaboratively with any related research programmes with which the Trust is participating.
