We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Cancer Services team as a Health Care Assistant Trust; we are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Macmillan and Oncology team. You will work within this dedicated team to assist and support the relevant medical and nursing team members with both nursing and non-nursing duties, to enable them to care for Haematology and Oncology day cases and out patients. This diverse role will include clinical nursing skills as appropriate to the role including performing phlebotomy and supporting the receptionists with clerical and reception duties as required.
You should have experience of working as a Health care assistant , and have knowledge of customer care. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a desire to provide a first class service for patients and clinical teams.
This rapidly expanding modern and busy unit offers many training opportunities for their staff, recent developments have led to investment and ongoing development plans for a large cancer centre onsite .This developing service is supported by a forward thinking & supportive Management Team, Nurse Practitioners, Palliative Care Team & Macmillan Information and Support Centre.
We firmly believe in holistic care, complementary therapy, clinical psychology and Citizen Advice Bureau all have clinics in the unit. We also offer carers and patient support groups.
