Working hours will be between Monday to Friday. 75 hour shifts.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic team player to join our friendly, dynamic, progressive Cardiac Rehabilitation department based at York Teaching Hospital.

The band 6 role will involve identifying, supporting and delivering high quality cardiac rehabilitation in line with the commissioning pack to patients following; Myocardial Infarction, arrhythmias Cardiac Surgery, coronary angioplasty /AICD and a range of other cardiac conditions and procedures.

You will be expected to engage in the facilitation of the Heart Manual, co-ordinate and take part in the outpatient exercise and information programme (based at York Hospital), clinical consultations and be responsible for data collection using the NACR database. Working and communicating well within a small team and across community cardiac rehabilitation will be essential.

Key knowledge and skills for this post will include: cardiology experience (CCU/Cardiothoracic) current ILS/ALS certification, teaching qualification e.g998 and ideally some experience in cardiac rehabilitation. Ideally you should be at or working towards a relevant degree course.

Working hours will be between Monday to Friday. 75 hour shifts.

This is a part time vacancy and the salary paid will be pro rata of the salary shown above, which is based on a 375 hour working week
