Care & Support Team Leader
Job Description

Barker Ross are currently seeking a Team Leader to join our Clients `Connect` Floating Support Service; supporting the needs of vulnerable adults across Nottinghamshire . This role requires a strong communicator to supervise and lead a team of around 10 Senior Care/Care & Support Workers. This is a permanent position working a 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday.

The role:

Assist in the development; delivery and reporting on team plans for designated service area to evidence high quality service delivery.
Promote the Metropolitan vision and culture and embed within core areas of responsibility to enhance Metropolitans reputation in the market place
Work within timeframes set by internal and external stakeholders to role model `gold standard` delivery
Ensure customer and staff engagement in the development and implementation of business processes to ensure they meet changing requirements
Lead the service by example, adhering to business standards, policies, processes and procedures
Recruit, induct, develop and manage the performance of staff to deliver cohesive, high performing teams which achieve performance targets and consistently high performance standards, this includes the assessment of learning activity where required
Manage and delegate cases where required
Supervisions and training of the team
Create support plans and assess competency of others
Conduct risk assessments and assess competency of others
Deal with any issues as per safeguarding and escalation procedure

You will have:

At least 5 years experience working either as a Senior within a team if no Team Leader/supervisory experience in a similar capacity
An interest in working within the housing/health care sector
Experience of floating support
An understanding of the application process of welfare benefits
A full UK driving licence and car
