Copper Beech Home Care Ltd. are currently recruiting for a Care Coordinator.

Job Description

The role will be shared between a set number of hours working within the community providing a minimum of 20 hours cover for unexpected absences and holiday and then the remainder of the week assisting with the Coordination of Care from our Lancashire Office.

The role of Care Coordinator is a very demanding role that requires a lot of patience, problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure within a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

An example of some (but not all) of the duties expected of a Care Coordinator are:

  • Leadership in the community ensuring that policy and procedure is followed at all times.
  • Planning of rota’s in advance to the benefit of the company’s Service Users.
  • Ensuring that all records are maintained correctly and in compliance with the Health and Social Care Act Regulations.
  • Assisting in ensuring that mandatory training is fully attended.
  • Assisting with the induction of new starters.
  • Taking a fair and equal share in the company’s emergency on-call and weekend working rota.
  • You will be expected to man the office one in every three weekends, which will be a period of lone-working.
  • Visiting Service Users will be considered a crucial part of this role, so the ability to travel within the counties of Lancashire and Cumbria effectively will be expected.
  • Some travel to Head Office in Newcastle Upon Tyne may also be required on occasion.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have an expert knowledge of Care – as assistance in maintaining compliance with CQC and Local Authority Regulations will be required.
  • Have previous experience in a similar or management role within a care setting will be beneficial although not strictly essential.
  • Possess some form of academic qualification in care (ideally, NVQ Level 3 or above).
  • Career development opportunities are available and you will be encouraged to enrol and complete a Level 5 Leadership in Health and Social Care.
