Care Staff East is the internal staff bank for Four Seasons Healthcare in the East of England. Care Staff East provides qualified nurses, chefs and healthcare assistants to homes throughout the East. South & West Yorks Region consists of 7 Care Homes situated in Sheffield, Halifax, Huddersfield, Ecclesfield, Killamarsh, Mirfield. The homes sizes range from 30 beds to 75 beds covering a range of services including Nursing, Residential, Respite and Dementia Care.

This role reflects the changing care needs of residents and will provide our most promising Care Assistants with the opportunity to develop their skills and career whilst providing support to Registered Nurse(s) to meet a range of clinical needs.

The role is an enhanced care assistant role that will, after a period of extra training and competency assessment, provide clinical interventions to enhance the resident experience and the level of care residents receive under supervision of a registered nurse. Historically these clinical interventions would have been carried out by a registered nurse.

Based in a local Care Home near you. On a daily basis, you will support the nurse(s) to supervise and deliver excellent standards of care which promotes privacy and dignity, whilst enhancing independence, rehabilitation and personal choice.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate must have a minimum SVQ/NVQ level 2 or Diploma in Health & Social Care and must achieve level 3 within 12 months after employment in the role.

A minimum of 12 months experience of working in a health & social care setting.

You must have the following attributes; Caring, Empathetic, Resident-focused

Literacy – good standard spelling, grammar and punctuation, Basic numeracy skills,

Problem- solving skills, Good verbal communication and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

The role requires a flexible approach as hours will vary to reflect the work patterns and needs of the business.
