Care Supervisor - Nursing Home - Birmigham - Sutton Coldfield

RGN/RMN/RNLD - Elderly Care - £17ph

A specialist learning disability nursing home for young adults, based in the Sutton Coldfield area of Birmingham, is looking for a registered nurse to take up the role as a care supervisor. The [positions would be suitable for an RGN, RMN or an RNLD but world require experience of working with young adults with learning disabilities. The Care supervisor will be required to work 3 nursing shifts a week and also work 2 days doing care administration work, totalling up to full time 37.5 hour week. The hourly rate is £17ph which amounts to £33,000 per annum and there are enhancements for working weekends and nights.

This is an excellent, medium sized home, with updated facilities and experienced and supportive Carers, Nurses and Managers. The home is modern and purpose built and is also close to local shops and is easy to get to via public transport.

The Role

  • Assess needs, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based nursing care;
  • Provide healthcare advice through educating patients, carers and families;
  • Carry out clinical nursing procedures;
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the health and social care team;
  • Supervise other staff and students;
  • Contribute to the dissemination of good practice by participating in teaching and learning opportunities.

Candidate Specification:

  • Have a Nurse Qualification - RGN/RMN/RNLD
  • Experience of working with young adults with disabilities
  • Have an active NMC pin number
  • Some experience working within a care home
