We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Band 8A Team Manager for their Children's Disability Services on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
You would be responsible on a day-to-day basis for the management of disability issues, in the capacity of designated person for disability, acting as lead person throughout Children and Family Community Services giving specialised advice to staff on disability issues, also including training, attendance at conferences and supervision of staff on disability issues.
You would be accountable for managing Children’s Disability Services and for the provision and future planning of the service across Guernsey.
You would also be responsible for the budgetary and resources of the service, and the development and implementation of policies and procedures for Children’s Disability Services.
The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000. It has some of the British Isles' finest and best-kept beaches, a mild and sunny climate, and an offbeat, historic harbor town in St. Peter's Port, the island's capital.
Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with full NMC, HCPC or applicable Professional registration
Experience at Band 7/ Senior Practitioner, within a Children’s Disability setting, including leading and managing a team of health/ social care staff.
Completion of a recognised Mentorship qualification and in possession of a relevant Management qualification or significant Management experience.
An excellent understanding and vision of children’s disability services.
Ability to support a multi-disciplinary team and enable inter-disciplinary collaboration.
A working knowledge of child protection issues and procedures.
