An exciting opportunity has recently opened up for an experienced and enthusiastic children’s occupational therapist to join our community-based Children’s Occupational Therapy Team working with children and young people aged 0-18. The service is jointly commissioned by Liverpool CCG and Liverpool City Council and is an integrated service offering a range of occupational therapy provision. We are a growing team with strong partnerships with colleagues in health, education, social care and the voluntary community sector.
The role can offer some flexibility depending on the candidate's areas of interest and expertise as there is a good skill-mix across the team. We are interested in an occupational therapist with skills in some or all of the areas of therapy intervention, equipment provision and home adaptations.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, have a positive attitude to disabled children with special educational needs and a positive belief in the key role of parents in their child’s development. You will need excellent communication and time management skills and be able to adopt a flexible approach.
In this role you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment. We have a friendly and motivated team who are committed to delivering an excellent service. Regular supervision and development opportunities are provided and CPD is actively encouraged.

You must have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy. Registration with HCPC is essential and we are able to offer reimbursement of HCPC fees. Full enhanced DBS clearance will be required which will be funded by the city council.
