To meet the needs of our growing service we are currently seeking a dynamic and inspirational Clinical Educator for Children's Cardiology to support our amazing nursing team on Savannah Cardiology.
The ward currently has 14 inpatient beds, including 6 HDU spaces; but will be moving to a new purpose built area with a larger bed capacity in the New Year.
The ward admits children from across the south of England, Northern Ireland and Overseas and has a strong network with regional hospitals. The ward is host to both medical and nursing students from several universities, and we get excellent feedback from them. We are committed to continuous professional development and ensuring an optimal learning environment is essential.
As Clinical Educator you require excellent clinical skills and knowledge, and demonstrate a desire to maintain a culture of continuous improvement and staff development. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be an experienced mentor and will have experience teaching a wide range of clinical staff and students in a variety of situations, and ideally have some experience presenting at conference.
As an excellent clinical role model we anticipate that you will be highly visible and work alongside the ward staff and assist the Ward Manager in the smooth running of the ward when necessary.
We passionately believe in promoting care and compassion to all our patients and provide a holistic child and family-centred approach to all the children and young people in our care.
If you feel you have the skills, enthusiasm and ambition to lead this fantastic team please take this opportunity and contact us.
