The CYP Complex Physical Health Service has a vacancy for a Band 5 Clinical Educator. Your role will to be to work in a small team offering high quality, consistent training in all the areas that the children and young people need to access to support their growth and development. This will be parents, carers and professionals in schools, The birches respite Unit, nurseries, family homes, youth clubs and short break provision to name but a few.
You will also be involved in supporting carers, nursing colleagues, return to work staff and students- a group of people as varied as the children.
This post would suit someone with broad knowledge and experience of working with children with complex health needs looking to develop their skills and experience in training and clinical education. The successful candidate will be supported by two senior clinical educators , have the opportunity to participate in a variety of professional development opportunities and be receive clinical supervision and mentorship. Experience of working with children with long term ventilation needs would be beneficial. Community experience would also be advantageous.
All the children and young people have complex heath needs and are supported using the “Coventry and Warwickshire’s Children and Young Peoples Teaching and Competency Framework” which is internationally recognised and you will be part of the continued development of this exciting and expanding framework.
