The post Clinical Fellow is available in the Department of Vascular Surgery with excellent opportunity to develop endovascular and open vascular skills.
The workload comprises mainly of Vascular Surgery and some general surgery in including laparoscopic surgery and endocrine surgery. The post is suitable for doctors who have completed their basic surgical training and obtained the MRCS examination but are looking for further experience at registrar level. Applicants would be expected to have experience of working at Registrar level on the emergency rota. To gain most benefit from advanced vascular surgical training candidates would have had experience in vascular surgery preferably at registrar level.
The Post will be working for and be supervised by the Vascular Consultants (Mr Abu Own, Assar, Backhouse, Choksy, Howard and Osman). The post-holder will be expected to attend all ward rounds and are responsible for inpatient patient care with the consultant team. The post-holder will take part in the acute surgical on-call rota at Specialist registrar level for vascular and attend theatre lists and clinics including some outreach clinics.
