Clinical Fellow (ST1/2 level) In Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow (ST1/2 level) post in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Southmead Hospital for 6 months commencing as soon as possible. The Obstetric Unit at Southmead Hospital is one of the major Units in the country, there being 6,400 deliveries per annum dealing with a full range of both normal and abnormal Obstetrics. The Gynaecological ward has over 4,000 admissions per annum and there are 18 major gynaecological operating lists per week.

The post is very suitable for interested career obstetricians and gynaecologists working towards the MRCOG Parts 1 and 2. Full Registration with the GMC is essential. The post is based at Southmead Hospital. The Trust has teaching status and is linked with the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England. Experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent is essential.

This post is not recognised for training and does not have postgraduate deanery approval. However, the job is educationally sound. Candidates must have, or be eligible for, GMC registration that allows them to work in posts that are not recognised for training.
