This post will be based at the Central England Rehabilitation Unit and will involve working with a variety patients with Acquired brain injury and other neurological disabilities.
The post forms part of the restructuring of medical staffing at Central England Rehabilitation Unit. It is hoped that these appointments will enhance the medical cover for the unit and provide an opportunity for developing an Educational and research Programme.
The education and research elements will be part of the developing academic department in partnership with Warwick University and will be closely linked to Professor Playford ( Professor in Rehabilitation Medicine at Warwick University) and to the research elements within the unit.
The appointee’s clinical work will be part of the inter-disciplinary team that is led by a Clinical Director, with other Consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine, medical staff, Nurses, Speech and Language therapists, Occupational therapists, Physiotherapists, Dietitians and Resettlement Officer.
