Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Matron for the Emergency Department at Leighton Hospital Crewe, also covering Minor Injuries Unit at Victoria Infirmary Northwich. This exclusive opportunity does not come along very often in a Trust that is renowned for supporting their staff.

The post holder will provide strong clinical leadership and be an experienced and competent health care professional with significant decision-making autonomy, responsibility and accountability, who ensures that optimum quality of care and clinical excellence is achieved and maintained within the Emergency Department by working collaboratively and co-operatively with clinical teams, patients, patient representatives, relatives and carers.

Applicants must be a first level registered nurse with at least 5 years Emergency Department experience and a good understanding of current emergency access targets. Excellent communication skills are essential, together with the clinical credibility and a recognised teaching qualification.
