Longley park View is a home which cares for individuals with complex mental health needs, as well as elderly nursing needs with EMI needs. Our Clinical Nurse/Deputy Managers play a key part in the daily running of the home, working closely with the Home Manager, ensuring that the home runs effectively and efficiently and that the care provided is of the highest quality. There will, of course, be times when you have to roll up your sleeves and deliver hands-on nursing and personal care but that’s the nature of the job, and it keeps your skills up to date.
About the job……
Your role will be to support the Home Manager in the day to day activities in the home, so this means that you will be involved in:
- Managing the clinical and care teams
- Carrying out pre-admission assessments
- Conducting supervisions and appraisals
- Auditing, reviewing and updating care plans and medication records
- Managing staffing levels, compiling rotas, etc
- Assisting with staff training and development
First and foremost, you’ll be a great nurse – you should have a first level nursing qualification with a current PIN. You‘ll be a great team-player but also able to lead by example with effective leadership skills and be supportive and approachable.
We expect that you’ll be up to date with current evidence based practice with a working knowledge of CQC Standards and Regulations.

Exemplar started life as a training company, helping a care home operator get to grips with an ever-increasing regulatory burden. We helped co-ordinate nursing adaptation courses for overseas nurses too.
