Brief Description of the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and experienced nurse to work within the Hospital based Specialist Palliative Care Team in Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a highly regarded, supportive team in a large acute hospital. The post holder will be responsible for providing expert specialist palliative care advice and education to clinical colleagues, patients and their families. The post holder is expected to actively engage in service development, strategy and quality improvement across the Trust.
The post holder must be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years post registration experience of which two years will be within palliative care. The post holder must have people management experience, will possess a teaching qualification and have IT skills. Possession of a relevant post registration qualification is essential. Applicants need to be in possession of, or be working towards, a degree level in nursing or equivalent. The Independent Prescribing qualification is desirable.
The job will involve travelling between the two sites (Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke’s Hospital) and externally to attend meetings.
