The Specialist Services Directorate provides specialist NHS services to people we are focused on or those for whom mainstream provision cannot meet their needs. Services are delivered by a range of approaches, including uni-professional, multi-professional and multi-agency, depending on the needs of individual patients and the service offered.
The successful candidate will be employed to work at Orion which will provide assessment and treatment services for adults with a intellectual disability. Orion provides 16 beds for mixed gender and age it is an NHS facility providing care for adults with an intellectual disability who need time limited additional in-patient support facilitating time limited therapeutic treatments.
This post is for a RNLD with extensive experience of acute inpatient or acute crisis team work in intellectual disabilities, ensuring a continuation of ID health services, between local inpatient provision and community health and social care provision.
To assist in highly specialised multidisciplinary assessments and provide evidence based highly specialised interventions in partnership with other members of the Orion MDT. To provide advanced healthcare assessment and treatment and advanced clinical advice on treatment to the client group. This post will interpret and apply relevant up to date research to clinical practice and will be the lead for Safeguarding on Orion.
