Job Description

Are you a dynamic and ambitious Clinical Psychologist looking for your next challenge? Do you want to join an established team and an organisation that truly lives its values?

As part of one of the UK’s largest independent providers of mental health care, Cygnet Hospital Bury is a fantastic place to build your career, with opportunities available across 14 specialist wards, offering a range of mental health services including specialist Deaf, Personality Disorder and Tier 4 CAMHS services. With a motivated and forward-thinking vision for the hospital, there is no better time to join the team. You’ll be working in a friendly and supportive environment, with an absolute focus on providing the very best patient care. We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to work primarily on our Adult Female / Female Deaf / Male Services.

So, if you’re an experienced Clinical Psychologist that can identify with our values and vision, support our fantastic team and deliver superior care, we want to hear from you.

Each unit provides an exceptionally high standard of accommodation. Patients have their own bedroom and en-suite bathroom offering maximum privacy. This is further enhanced by spacious lounges, therapy rooms, occupational therapy kitchen, gym and laundry facilities. Units also have gardens, which are designed by the patients.

We provide challenging but ultimately rewarding environments in which to work. Our teams of consultants, doctors, RMN nurses, therapists and support workers deliver recovery based and outcomes focused care to our service users and support them to move along their care pathway. You’ll need to have exceptional clinical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a busy team.

You will provide a high quality clinical psychology service within the highly specialised field of Forensic and Rehabilitation Services and work continuously and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within Cygnet Hospital Bury. The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with other members of the MDT, and effectively contribute to the provision and continued development of an effective patient therapy programme.

As a growing organisation, with exciting plans for the future, we are passionate about driving employee development and supporting our staff’s wellbeing. To find out more or have an informal chat with our Recruitment team, call  ( Phone number removed )  or email ( Email address removed ).
