Are you an enthusiastic and ambitious Mental Health Nurse looking for your next challenge? Do you want to join an established team and an organisation that truly lives its values?
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably motivated, experienced and skilled RMN, who wishes to work as a Clinical Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a large and established Multi-Disciplinary Team and the successful candidate will work closely with the existing Ward Manager and Clinical Team Leader.
Wyvern Ward provides locked rehabilitation and treatment for those whose psychiatric condition is resulting in challenging behaviour and who require a Recovery Focused Care Pathway. Together with Litchurch Ward, our Male Low Secure unit, this forms part of our integrated male care pathway at Cygnet Hospital Derby.
You must have the ability to manage a busy ward environment on an on-going basis and be committed to providing the highest quality of care to patients, carers and purchasers of our service. You must also have interpersonal skills of the highest order to liaise with numerous professionals. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, whilst ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved at ward level. It will be your responsibility to ensure the agreed care pathway is implemented involving all members of the MDT.
Extensive previous experience with this service user group is essential for this post. Participation in an on-call rota is also essential and the ability to work night shifts occasionally is expected. You must be committed to your own and staff development and to the mentoring of students of all disciplines and ensuring supervision and appraisal processes occur. Various contracted hours are available for this role.
Cygnet Health Care offers an excellent benefits package which includes annual bonus scheme contributory pension scheme, free life assurance, a comprehensive employee assistance programme and discount centre, childcare vouchers and paid birthday and anniversary of joining company leave. In addition most hospitals offer subsidised meals and free car parking where available.
Each hospital is committed to the development and well-being of all staff and provides regular supervision, on-going training and access to Cygnet-wide career opportunities. All employees are encouraged to identify their own learning and development needs linking them with the current and future needs of the hospital and each hospital has a continuing education budget together with flexible rotas to permit attendance at day release training schemes.
Visits to the hospital are welcome and the Hospital Manager is happy to have detailed discussions prior to application or interview. We have a relocation package of up to £2,000 for candidates moving to the area.
