Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and various community clinical sites
Division of Medicine

Ref: 290-CONA103

Imperial NHS Healthcare Trust has two fantastic opportunites for our Community Dermatology Service:

Community Dermatology Consultant (10 PAs)

These two roles have been established after Imperial won the bid to run the Community Dermatology in Central and West London. We are looking for high calibre, passionate and self-driven candidates with a record of strong leadership skills and a desire to take our community dermatology service forward. Potential candidates should ideally have a background in service improvement and working in partnership with commissioners. These posts will require basic surgery skills and a keen interest in expanding the dermatology service into the Community. Interest in service governance, development and improvement are essential as the Lead postholder will be expected to lead the dermatology community provision for the Trust and have regular meetings with Commissioners and the secondary care team. Both posts have an aspect of GP Education and will be expected to organise and provide high qulaity teaching regularly as it is necessary to maintain a presence in the community in order to encourage GP engagement and to establish a close relationship with Imperial. High level team working skills are essential as part of a multi-multidisciplinary medical team within the service. The posts will also involve general dermatology clinics within our Imperial sites.

The posts are for 2 years fixed term until 2018 following a strategic review of the delivery of our community services. A further review in 2018 will determine how the community service will be delivered.

Imperial College Healthcare Trusts prides itself on high quality teaching and training, the post holder would be expected to be involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate training.

Applicants must be on the General Medical Council's specialist register (or equivalent) with a license to practice, or a Specialist Registrar who is within 6 months of being admitted to the GMC’s specialist register by the date of interview.
