Position: Domiciliary Carer/Home Care Worker

Job Description:

Prestige Nursing + Care are currently recruiting Home/Community Care Workers to join us in the Wakefield area. You will assist in caring for mostly private clients in their own homes.

The successful candidates will be required to travel (own transport essential) to and from clients homes to undertake personal care and household duties for our clients who may be suffering from mobility problems, Dementia or they may just need some help getting back to full health after a period in hospital.

We are looking for dedicated, happy and reliable people who have an excellent work ethic and a passion for caring for people.Experience is preffered but not essential as full training can be provided.

Will include Evenings/Mornings/Alternative Weekends


  • Provide a high quality of care.

  • Respect the individuality and confidentiality of each service user.

  • To respect the Service user's independence and authority and to treat them at all times with fairness and courtesy.

  • Ensure the health, safety and welfare of Service User and themselves.

  • Assisting Service Users to get up and/or go to bed.

  • Assisting Service Users with personal hygiene, dressing & undressing, toileting, etc.

  • Keeping clients company by day or sitting / sleeping in the clients home at night providing personal care as required.

  • Assist Service Users with preparation of meals, or other food and / or beverages.

  • Undertake cleaning duties e.g. dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, washing dishes, etc.

  • Maintain regular communication with branch manager.

Necessary Skills/Qualifications:

  • Preferably some experience in a similiar capacity

  • Good standard of spoken and written English

  • Achieved or willing to study towards NVQ2/Health & Social Care Diploma

  • Own Transport essential

  • Excellent communication skills and a good team player
